Saturday Evening at Otaku Konkatsu土曜夜のオタク婚活

土曜日の夜7時。オタクAは人生初のアニメ婚活パーティーに参加していた。
Saturday night, 7 PM. Otaku A was participating in his first anime marriage hunting party.

司会者：「それでは自己紹介タイムです！好きなアニメを教えてください！」
Host: "Now it's self-introduction time! Please tell us your favorite anime!"

オタクA：「え、えーっと…◯◯とか…△△とか…」
Otaku A: "Um, well... ◯◯ and... △△ and..."

しかし、周りの参加者たちのオタクレベルが想像以上に高い。
However, the otaku level of the other participants is higher than he imagined.

参加者A：「私はセーラームーンから始まって、今は深夜アニメ中心で年間300本視聴してます」
Participant A: "I started with Sailor Moon, now I focus on late-night anime and watch 300 series per year"

オタクA：（年間300本!? やばい、俺のレベルじゃ太刀打ちできない…）
Otaku A: (300 series per year!? Oh no, I can't compete at my level...)

フリータイムになると、みんな同じような趣味嗜好で話が盛り上がらない。
During free time, everyone has similar tastes and conversations don't get exciting.

参加者B：「◯◯の第3話の演出について語りたいんですが…」
Participant B: "I want to discuss the direction of episode 3 of ◯◯..."

オタクA：（みんなガチすぎる…普通の恋愛の話はしないのかな…）
Otaku A: (Everyone's too hardcore... won't we talk about normal romance...)

オタクA：「趣味が同じでも、人として合うかは別問題なんだな…」
Otaku A: "Even with the same hobbies, whether we're compatible as people is a different matter..."

共通の趣味があっても恋愛に発展するとは限らない現実を知った夜だった。
It was a night when he learned the reality that having common hobbies doesn't necessarily lead to romance.
