オタクグッズの断捨離地獄/ The Hell of Decluttering Otaku Goods

Spring Cleaning Nightmare春の大掃除の悪夢

春の大掃除シーズン。オタクAの6畳間は10年分のオタクグッズで溢れかえっている。
Spring cleaning season. Otaku A's 6-tatami room is overflowing with 10 years' worth of otaku goods.

オタクA：「さすがに整理しないと…足の踏み場もない…」
Otaku A: "I really need to organize... there's nowhere to step..."

フィギュア200体、同人誌500冊、ポスター100枚。全て「いつか見返すかも」の精神で保管してきた。
200 figures, 500 doujinshi books, 100 posters. All kept with the mindset of "maybe I'll look at them someday."

オタクA：「このフィギュア…3年触ってないな…でも限定品だし…」
Otaku A: "This figure... I haven't touched it in 3 years... but it's a limited edition..."

一つ一つに思い出がある。捨てる基準が決められない。
Each item holds memories. He can't establish criteria for disposal.

オタクA：「メルカリで売ろうかな…でも梱包が面倒だし…」
Otaku A: "Maybe I should sell on Mercari... but packaging is such a hassle..."

5時間かけて整理した結果、捨てられたのはゴミ袋1つ分のみ。
After 5 hours of organizing, he only managed to dispose of one garbage bag's worth.

オタクA：「全然片付いてない…むしろ散らかってる気がする…」
Otaku A: "It's not organized at all... if anything, it feels more messy..."

オタクA：「まあ、来年やろう…」
Otaku A: "Well, I'll do it next year..."

こうして断捨離は来年に持ち越された。毎年恒例の光景である。
Thus, the decluttering was postponed to next year. An annual tradition.
