新クール開始。オタクAは今期視聴するアニメを選別中である。
New season begins. Otaku A is selecting which anime to watch this season.

オタクA：「今期は27本か…全部見るのは無理だな…」
Otaku A: "27 shows this season... impossible to watch them all..."

第1話を見始める。オープニング映像で大体の質が判断できる長年の経験がある。
He starts watching the first episode. Years of experience allow him to judge the quality from the opening animation.

オタクA：「うーん、作画はいいけど、声優が…」
Otaku A: "Hmm, the animation is good, but the voice actors..."

5分で視聴を打ち切る。いわゆる「0話切り」である。
He stops watching after 5 minutes. This is called "zero-episode drop."

オタクA：「次、次…お、これは期待できそう」
Otaku A: "Next, next... oh, this one looks promising"

しかし、途中で睡魔に襲われる。午前2時である。
However, he's attacked by drowsiness. It's 2 AM.

オタクA：「明日続き見よう…」
Otaku A: "I'll watch the rest tomorrow..."

結局、27本中3本しか最後まで見ることはなかった。これが現代オタクのアニメ消費スタイルである。
In the end, he only watched 3 out of 27 shows to completion. This is the modern otaku's anime consumption style.
